R7, a Red Tiger partner and in-house developer, created the Irish-themed slot machine Well of Wishes Slot. Red Tiger has referred to R7 as their “development lab.” R7 seems to be a pretty reserved studio with little information on them, however, we haven’t spent much time investigating them outside of experimenting with different Google search combinations.

It is quite unfortunate that the RTP, at 95.66%, is a little lower than the industry average.

Without such a long-term perspective, it is impossible to say whether or not that is a deal-breaker, but as all of us who love to play Novomatic machines know, if a game is fun enough, we are willing to put up with it.

In any case, this game has a symbol transformation option, just as Devil’s Number, except this one, will turn the symbols into wilds instead of just upgrading them to a greater value. The design in this instance features a lot of pink and green, as would be expected given the luck of the Irish theme. Thankfully, the reel area is considerably more aesthetically beautiful, being covered in gold and having a somewhat Celtic feel.

It adheres to the Irish genre in terms of symbolism as well. Lucky Coins can land on any spin in the base game. Each of them will serve as the wild symbol in addition to being gathered and added to a progress meter that is shown above the reel area.

When five coins have been collected, they are dropped into the Well of Wishes Slot, which then displays a random symbol (from those that are currently visible) that will be turned into a wild (for that spin). You might also receive a second symbol from the well that can turn into a wild; this tends to happen roughly 1 in 10-15 times.

Well of Wishes Slot is a solid release from R7 overall. Even while the audiovisual presentation isn’t the most spectacular in this particular category, it doesn’t suffer as much from the generic atmosphere as many other slots do. 

The free spins round, which can be difficult to trigger due to its relatively low frequency, is the major course that permits this meal to pass approval. The collection element gives the base game, which is otherwise very bland, some flavor.

Well of Wishes Slot is much superior to much of the dreck that established companies frequently produce considering that it is from an independent company. The soundtrack complements the game well, the graphics are generally of good quality, and most importantly, the game has a lot of potential.
